training camps and school holiday sessions

60-120 minute session

swimnastics dry-land training sessions incorporate the fundamentals of gymnastics to help your swimmers build strength, increase flexibility and develop sound movement patterns. Tailored to your needs and those of your athletes, the session can be held in almost any space. We can either work with no equipment - or make use of what is available. Including swimnastics in your next training camp is a great way to add variety and provide fresh dryland ideas to your coaching team.

Areas of focus are based on the questionnaire we will send you once you book in a time.

regular coached sessions

Series of 60-90 minute sessions over days/weeks

This intensive series is perfect for school holidays and post season break and gives junior athletes a great way to break up their training routine. You can also arrange once a week sessions for a term. Using the fundamentals of gymnastics to help your swimmers build strength, increase flexibility and develop sound movement patterns, the sessions are individually tailored for your athletes (based on your responses to the athlete enquiry form I will send to you). 

Areas of focus based on the questionnaire we send to you as soon as your session is booked, we learn more about your athletes in order to plan specific to their needs

10 week package

2 x 60minute swimnastics programs for 5 weeks each with 1-2 coached sessions (depending on availability)

This cost-effective option allows you to deliver the Swimnastics program yourself (with a little help). In Week 1, you will be taught how to implement the Swimnastics program. To keep you on track, you'll receive a hardcopy of the program with key coaching points you can refer back to. Over the next four weeks, you will run the program with your athletes before I revisit you in Week 6 to review the progress of your athletes and deliver the new program that will take them through a new block. This five-week cycle of implementation and review can continue indefinitely.

Areas of focus will be dependent upon the questionnaire we send you upon booking a 10 week package.

Coach education workshops

60-90 minute workshop

Want to ensure that your junior athletes are equipped with strong fundamentals that they can build on as they move through the squads? This interactive workshop is a great way to give your athletes a competitive edge by working together with other coaches in your club to establish a progressive dry-land program. 

The workshops will provide you and your colleagues with an overview of current scientific research into sport science and physiology as well as teach you a range of practical resources (drills and skills) that will enable you to deliver a dry-land program that's perfectly suited to the individual needs of your swimmers. You'll also be taught a bonus 10-minute poolside sequence (that helps improve mobility, strength and flexibility) that you can take back to your athletes.

- How to teach a tumble turn on dry-land (forward roll)
- How to create the ideal streamline shape (handstand)
- Developing athleticism
- Gymnastics for building strength
- Flexibility for shoulder and spine

pre-training activation programming

Online/email

Make the most of pre-pool time by using the time to help your junior athletes to improve their mobility, strength and flexibility - and help build good training habits. Based on an initial consultation, I will design a tailored 10-minute pre-training sequence that meets the specific needs of your athletes. The sequence will be delivered to you via video and will include key coaching points - and a lesson plan with progressions, modifications, recommended reps and sets.
